Embark on a museum tour delving into Korea’s fermentation culture and its emotional essence. Sample a variety of kimchi types and participate in special experiences, such as kimchi-making sessions led by expert instructors (Kimjang Culture), where you can create your own batch of kimchi to take home.


[Program Basic Information]

● Eligibility: Open to all foreign tourists visiting Seoul.

● Duration: Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month (14:00) / Total duration: 90 minutes

● Location: Kimchi Museum in Insa-dong (35-4 Insadong-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Insadong Maru Main Building 4-6F)

○ Approximately 10 minutes on foot from Subway Line 1 Jonggak Station Exit 3-1, and Subway Line 3 Anguk Station Exit 6

● Contents: Kimchi Museum Tour (30 minutes) + Kimchi Making Class (30 minutes) + Free viewing

● Capacity: 20 participants per tour

● Language: English, Korean

● Please be advised to check the ingredients of the foods used in the kimchi-making class, such as tomatoes and seafood (shrimp paste, seafood, etc.), before applying for the kimchi tour. Participation depends on individual judgment considering allergies and health conditions. If you have health concerns or need to avoid certain ingredients, please consult the operating office (hallyuseoul@gmail.com) in advance.

● Minors and children must be accompanied by a guardian and cannot participate alone.

● Each participant will make approximately 400g of kimchi, and necessary tools will be provided on-site.

[Program Application and Information]

● Program applications are accepted from four weeks before the operating date.

● One application submission per person.

● If the number of applicants exceeds 20, participants will be selected through a lottery.

● Selected participants will receive a confirmation email requesting final confirmation of participation seven days before the scheduled date. Responding to the email will confirm your participation in the program.

● Unselected applicants will not receive a separate email.

● Please carefully consider before applying, as ingredients will be prepared immediately upon confirmation.

● Foreigner identification through passport and ID is required for program participation.
